Here I am one week later and still alive! Feeling much better but still have blasted cough but didn't deter me to go and get my hair done yesterday. First time since last October so it was a real mess. Son's 40th on Friday so had to look good for that at least.
Made all of six cards and still have a couple to do - lots of birthdays the next couple of months so trying to get ahead. The first is for No 1 son so hope he doesn't take it into his head to look at my blog.
Had some nice card stock which I used and then decoupaged the dog and balloon onto it. Added sentiment, age etc but refrained from anything else in case it made it look girly!Will post more later so haste ye back........... 
Here we are a week later and I am no better. The cough is still bad and my head too with my sinus's and runny nose. I have been feeling shivery and cold too and the receptionist at the doctors was not going to let me see him in case I had Swine flu! Eventually I did and got another course of anti-biotic' s and told to rest. The rash on my legs is getting better and not itching now and hopefully it will start to fade soon. The lump is still there not sore anymore so I suppose it is progress of a kind!
I have a backlog of cards to make so hoping I will feel well enough to start in a couple of days.

Sorry no cards this past week but have been under the weather again. My feet and ankles have been really badly swollen and I have come out with some sort of rash on my legs which is rather itchy to say the least. I now have to take penicillin tables to help clear [but so far nothing happening] I also have an abscess growing between my boobs of all places. To crown it all I now have a real bad chesty cough and runny nose. I think I will take up the offer from my friend Jackie and borrow her gun lol!

Took the plunge this morning and made an appointment to see the Doctor. Gave him a list [in case I forgot anything] of all the things that had been happening to me. He took my blood pressure too and it was up so not too happy about that! He seems to think that I either have a virus or the new pills are disagreeing with my other ones I take for my diabetes. Now have pills to counteract the sickness until I see the nurse again next week. Doctor is in agreement with her and thinks he will have to refer me to the specialist and I will have to go on insulin or a combination of insulin and some of the pills I am already taking. Oh the joys!!I did manage to go to my craft class this morning before seeing the Doctor but I was so unwell when I got there that I just sat and chatted and had a cup of tea to settle my stomach. It was a shame as this was the last one before the summer break.
Well after a promising week with the diet, out walking each night for a hour [taking things slowly]. The blood sugars are finally coming down into reasonable figures 9.0 and below which is a relief. I did some gardening last Thursday but managed to pull the muscles in my lower back so was in agony all weekend! Still managed to see the new Star Trek film [courtesy of youngest son, Michael - part of my birthday present from him and Wendy [DIL]. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone out there who loves Sci-fi films.My eyesight is still bothering me and come Monday I felt really ill, severe dizzyness, vomiting and diarrhoea. It was really scary so Tuesday I just took things easy and chilled out. Today I had my appointment with the diabetic nurse and explained how I was feeling to her. Although she was pleased with me and my weight loss [6lbs whoopee do!] she advised I go home and take it easy for the next few days incase I had one of these bugs that is going around. If I am not right after a couple of days I have to phone her. Must say I am feeling really peculiar and am off now to have a lie down for a while.Sorry no cards but hopefully back to normal soon.
Hello to all and welcome. After such a good week last week up until Thursday I am once again feeling awful! I was in so much pain with my knee on Thursday that I had to phone OH to come and pick me up and take me home [I was in Aberdeen for the day with my pal]. He was feeling pretty awful himself with a bad cold so we both ended up in bed by 4.30pm. Must be a first for us. OH has been nursing his cold all weekend and guess what -yes, he very generously passed it on to me. That's all I need, so once again in bed with nose, eyes and just about everything else running!! I so do not need this just now and am very disappointed that we missed our grand-daughters in their stage show at the Aberdeen Arts Centre but I heard that they were brilliant.
Oh well, back to bed with a hot drink and some cold remedies.

Hello all from my very neglected blog! No excuses just not been in the right mood and have not been online blogging or crafting for a while. If truth be told I think I have been a bit depressed with what has been going on with my health. Fortunately, my good friend came down to visit and stayed the weekend so that has lifted my spirits a lot. I am hoping I will feel more like crafting soon and post some much needed Christmas cards. Another week gone by again. Thanks to my friends for all their concerns and to Jackie for that kick! Must have worked as I have been up all weekend and out and about on Saturday [first time in three weeks]. Still not myself but the diabetic nurse has started me on some new pills and am hoping that will help. She is also very concerned about my blood pressure and I will probably need to go on more pills for that too but meantime she thinks I have enough to cope with. Have promised myself I will do a couple of Christmas cards today so watch this space. Take care everyone and haste ye back....
Almost another week has gone by and have to admit have not done much at all. Still under the weather and spending lots of time lying on top of my bed, dozing on and off and watching the goggle box which is not like me. Terrible to admit I haven't even picked up a book in all these weeks I have been ill. I have the diabetic nurse tomorrow so see what she has to say as my bloods are not under control just now. I have been blaming all the pills I have been taking but no reason really this last week. Will probably get a ticking off but not caring as I feel so washed out, wish I had the energy to pull myself together. Need a kick in the butt area I think!
Well no crafting today folks, I did try but this neuralgia is so painful I can hardly concentrate on my stamping. Gave it up and just been browsing other blogs instead. Hope to be back soon with some new work. Take care everyone and haste ye back.......
Feeling real poorly today so not doing much on my blog. Have terrible headaches and my neck, back and shoulders really hurt, even my sight is blurred. Asked OH to take in something for the tea as I don't feel up to cooking tonight. Will hopefully feel more like myself tomorrow and back into some crafting.
