Oriental

Had a lovely day yesterday up in Aberdeen with my friend, we had lunch and a browse around the shops. Managed to get myself new trousers and a top but still looking for something smart to wear for my weekend away.
Todays project for my class is back to basics, as they enjoy decoupage so much I thought I would do pyramage - a different slant on it. I took a background that I had and made it into pyramage with a 3D2 software that a friend gave me. I then mounted it onto gold backing card and then onto black glossy cardstock. Stamped and cut out two Japanese coins. Added ribbon along the bottom and side to finish it off.

Tuesday's card

Bit of a mixed bag today weather wise - doesn't know whether to rain or shine! Off to my voluntary work soon and was real stuck for something to do. Eventually came up with a bit more stamping for them. Have posted my sample for you to see, hope you like it. Comments welcome.

Used my new PTI stamps and simply stamped in two colours. Mounted them on nestabilities, background from Fred said flowers. Added flowers, buttons, pearls and ribbon from stash.

Belated class effort

This was going to be my Tuesday craft class lesson but I never got there - have been bedded for a couple of days. Am still feeling very tired but at least I am up and around today so thought I would post the lesson sample anyway. My one lady [the other is still in hospital] wants to do some decoupage so I came up with this simple medallion which I got from the Fred she said site. I made up a sheet on Microsoft Publisher and the background is also a Fred she said. I am hoping to see her maybe tomorrow and pass on the stuff so she can have a go at making it up herself.

A bit of Nestabilites, Fisker's edging Water punch, ribbon and flowers and we are all set.

Tuesday craft

Tuesday again and off to do my voluntary work again. Didn't have a clue what to do this time so opted for making a bookmark to get the ladies used to stamping and using inks. I used my rubber tapestry stamps, versa inks and will have a go at getting them to use a crop-a-dile - should be fun!

Had a look at my stamps and decided to use one of my favourites and made this card.

Craft class

A dull and miserable day here today but have my ladies for their craft class this afternoon so hoping that will cheer me up. Will see how they got on doing their stitching on their own for last week's project. This week it is so straightforward just lots of cutting and layering for a simple but stylish card. Hope they like it.....

Craft Class

Had my first crafting class for 2 weeks but unfortunately Trudy were not there but I did manage to show another lady, Evelyn how to do the card and left it with her. Next week I will check on how she and Trudy got on and help them finish the cards. I did amazingly sell two of my demo cards [ the stitched ones] as they liked them so much - that was a surprise!
I had another idea up my sleeve, so I came prepared and managed to get a few of them interested in doing a Movie Quiz. It seemed to be well received and I was asked to make up another one for next week, but questions on capitals of foreign countries. If at first you don't succeed........

Tuesday Craft Class

Spent all day again trying out various things and finally came up with two choices. Both using peel-offs and stitching, so am hoping the ladies will like these. I know one of them is a keen cross stitcher so this is why I thought I would try out another type of card. Nothing too complicated just the stitching [if they want to] and some embossing and chalking. They can also cut out the butterfly and mount it [again multiple choice].

No 1

No 2

Will let you know how I get on.

Trudy

What a dull and miserable day, looks like the weather down south has finally caught up with us and all our beautiful sunshine has disappeared!
Well my crafting class yesterday went down like a bomb but I at least got two ladies who were interested and with a little coaching managed to make two lovely cards. One lady Trudy was a dear, and I have been told on good authority that she is going around the home today, showing everyone her card she made - that news alone has made my day!

Here is a picture of Trudy proudly showing off her card.

Craft class

Here we are and it's Tuesday again and I am feeling a bit nervous as this is the big day for me - my first crafting class. I go back this afternoon as volunteer [on probation may I add] at the sheltered housing complex. I am hoping I will get at least 6 people who want to have a go at the crafting and have made up 7 packs just in case [ever optimistic me].

Here is a picture of the card I am hoping they will want to make - what do you think?

Plain card from stash

The layered sheet is made by a forum friend [Many thanks Joanie]. Wish me luck and I will you know how I got on later.
